Route
Layout - Stage 1

The whole of the Heritage Walk is about 17 kilometers
long. It runs in a loop through Bundeena, traverses Bonnie Vale
and then loops around Maianbar. The Walk has been officially broken
up into three stages:

The Bundeena loop - from the ferry wharf to Eric Street,
Jibbon Beach, Beachcomber, Reef Street, Rymill place, along the
right of way next to the school thence back to the Ferry Wharf;
The Bonnie Vale link - down Scarborough Street past the caravan
park, left into Liverpool Street, along the right of way past Yarmouth
swamp, across the soccer fields to Bonnie Vale and the bridge over
Cabbage Tree Creek; The Maianbar Loop - following Pacific Crescent
through to Park Street, then Newcombe Street, through the National
Park to the Reserve and down to Fisherman's Bay and back to Pacific
Crescent. It's possible to make the Walk as long or as short as
you'd like. As you can see by looking at the map, there are many
rights of ways or streets you can take short cuts through. Each
stage of the Walk has an accompanying brochure. The stage one brochure
is complete. Stage two and stage three are yet to be published.
The Walk route is marked by marker poles with the Heritage Walk
Logo, a number and other sponsor logs shown on the side. The number
relates to the information provided on the brochure. At a few places
on the Walk, you'll see pedestals with more detailed information
about what you are looking at or might see.
